The Zero Semester program provides a pathway for students who have earned their required qualifications but need additional academic preparation to meet minimum grade requirements for their desired programs.
The Zero Semester has been introduced to provide an opportunity to students who have earned their required qualification/degree as prescribed in admission eligibility criteria of respective programs but do not fulfill minimum marks/CGPA requirements. Upon successful completion, candidates become eligible for subsequent admission towards their desired program.
Important: Zero Semester is necessary for students who have less than 45% marks in intermediate.
The program runs for one semester (18 weeks), providing intensive academic preparation in a structured timeframe.
Student progress is evaluated through continuous assessment including assignments, online quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), mid-term and final exams. Mid-term and final exams are conducted at VU’s designated centers and typically count for 80-85% of total marks.
Candidates must pass all prescribed courses in a single semester and achieve the prescribed semester GPA to become eligible for subsequent admission to their desired study program.
